I feel like this writing comes at least 40 years too early. I was just recalling a story about us the other day amongst friends, and we all had a joyous laugh. Some of my most memorable stories that I share with people involve you. So allow me this one last opportunity to reminisce.

I remember you as someone everyone got along with no matter what and enjoyed being around. I remember how you would light up the room with that distinctive laughter of yours, and how pleased people were to see you. My wife couldn’t retain herself from giggling when she heard you walk into a room; I am sure many of us had similar feelings. Although that day was darkened by the weather, it was truly dismal because our good friend was no longer with us.

I thank you for making good times, great...

I remember you, Dan Ippolito and me in chemistry class together, anyone who knew us then… oh who am I kidding, anyone who knows us now, knows that that is not a very good situation for the person in charge. I don’t believe any of us passed chemistry that year, but I remember we learned an important lesson. Never stick paper clips in power outlets. Who would have thought it would have blown like that?

I thank you for the laughter...

I remember you were the one kid whose arms were small enough to reach into that cigarette machine at the Chinese restaurant to get us all free smokes when we were too young to buy them. I remember the time you were only able to get one pack out before management chased us away. I remember how kind it was when you gave that one to me.

I thank you for your generosity...

I remember when you pushed Todd Viau from your tree house because he was talking too much. It seemed to be like 100 feet when we where that age, didn’t it? Perfect timing and great execution, you always knew just what to say or do.

I definitely thank you for that one...

I remember when I could say, to hell with Mike Tyson or Evander Holleyfield. Larry and Tony Lefave have been boxing for like 8 hours now.

I thank you for your dedication...

Although we rarely saw each other these last few years, we always had things to reminisce about and I regret we will not being doing that again. I regret that I did not know you better as an adult, I have said on occasion, “Maybe we should give Larry a call” after waxing nostalgic about the good old days, I can’t explain why I never did. You have no idea how much I regret that today. I regret that I never got moving on that band we had been talking about starting since we were 12 years old. I never knew a better drummer and I never will. I could imagine us as dirty old men, you, Dan and I stuck in the same ratty nursing home torturing all the young nurses. I regret that I won’t have the chance to make any more good memories with you to reminisce about.

It makes me feel empty knowing our paths will never cross again, but you have to know I would be a much emptier person had they never passed. So Larry Samborski I thank you for that...

We all thank you for that.
